sorry for the lack of updates, but i’ve been in a deluge these past few weeks!
brian and michelle’s wedding was on saturday (pictures to come later!). it was a wonderful day, but my feet are still trying to recover :) pictures and the receiving line went on FOREVER! i was so happy when we finally sat down at the head table and i could take off my shoes and slip on my old navy flip flops… lol. but all in all, it was a beautiful ceremony and a fun-filled night - lots of dancing, drinking, and socializing! and there weren’t any major catastrophes, which is always good… there were a few minor hitches along the way (like the priest not remembering brian’s name, the banquet hall forgetting to do a bunch of things and leaving it all for joseph to do, etc.), but nothing too major. one regret i have is that i wore mascara. mel and i debated whether or not we should - we should because we’ll be taking tons of pictures and we want our makeup to show up in those pictures, but we shouldn’t just in case we cry and it runs. well, i decided to wear mascara because i NEVER cry at weddings… boy was i wrong! i was fine throughout the ceremony and dinner, but when brian gave his speech, i just couldn’t help myself. it was too touching…

to sum up, here are some memorable moments from the wedding:
- me dropping my program about 2 minutes into the mass and having it slide across the floor and land about a foot from the alter
- the priest presenting “mr and mrs brian……..[long pause]……… chang?”
- the priest forgetting who our pope is: “pope john paul our pope…. uh… benedict…. our……… bishop….”
- tien getting splashed with the holy water… too cute!
- almost falling into a water fountain in my bridesmaid dress while we were taking pictures because the photographer insisted that i jump over a garden and land on a ledge (no bigger than a foot wide) that surrounded the fountain
- the “mini moo” and the red silo
- alice (the flower girl) and tien (the ring bearer) being “boyfriend and girlfriend”
so that was the wedding… now let me explain how i got invited to a private lunch with sean paul and his family. as you may have heard, sean paul is in toronto touring with mariah carey. well, usually when he comes to toronto he goes over to his family’s house for lunch/dinner. it just so happens that my aunt (through marriage) is sean paul’s aunt. and this year i got invited to the big luncheon! how cool is that?! he’s a really great guy. for some reason, i wasn’t expecting him to be so normal! lol… he just hung out with us, talked, ate, took pictures with us, signed some autographs, etc. i felt kind of bad taking pictures of him at his own family party, but a few of his cousins were doing the same, so i figured i might as well! it was so much fun :)
